About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its data infrastructure to support growing content pipelines. We need a Database Administrator to ensure high‑availability, performance, and security of our relational and NoSQL stores.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB clusters
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Design schemas and indexes to optimize query performance
• Collaborate with developers to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain documentation of database architecture and policies

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB in production
• Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization
• Experience with replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
