About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a new analytics platform that requires robust data storage and performance tuning. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain our relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimize database schemas for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
• Implement backup, recovery, and monitoring solutions.
• Tune queries and indexes for performance.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate databases into application code.
• Ensure data security compliance and implement access controls.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Strong SQL querying and performance tuning expertise.
• Experience with replication, clustering, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB).
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker.
