The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a portfolio of clients, including data entry, invoicing, and accounts reconciliations. You will also be required to prepare financial statements, budgets, and other reports as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Perform data entry tasks, including invoicing, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement effective bookkeeping systems and processes to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other bookkeepers to deliver exceptional service to clients.
- Provide training and support to clients on bookkeeping software and systems.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and other management reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including responding to inquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Perform other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and MYOB.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and outside the box.
- Experience with data entry, invoicing, and accounts reconciliations.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Certifications, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU), are an asset.
