About the role

TechFlow Inc is building a next‑generation IoT platform that connects thousands of edge devices to cloud services. We need an experienced IoT Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimize the end‑to‑end architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across the ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design comprehensive IoT system architecture covering device onboarding, data ingestion, and real‑time processing.
• Develop secure communication protocols and authentication mechanisms for heterogeneous devices.
• Integrate cloud services, edge computing nodes, and on‑premise infrastructure.
• Define monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies for device health and performance.
• Collaborate with firmware, backend, and DevOps teams to align implementation with architectural standards.
• Document design decisions, best practices, and deployment guides.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and device management.
• Strong background in Linux system administration and networking.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript for scripting and API development.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrating them with cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for IoT deployments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for edge workloads.
• Knowledge of data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or Pulsar.
