About the role

NovaForge Tech is building a high‑stakes release platform for its upcoming SaaS suite. As a Node.js Developer you will lead the test automation uplift, creating a safety net that catches regressions before launch. The focus is on reducing risk and accelerating delivery confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a Cypress‑based end‑to‑end test framework for the new "PulseGuard" module.
• Integrate automated tests into the existing Jenkins CI pipeline, ensuring nightly runs and PR gate checks.
• Refactor legacy Mocha tests to improve coverage of critical API endpoints.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define flaky‑test detection thresholds and reporting dashboards.
• Document test scenarios and maintain test data fixtures in MongoDB for repeatable runs.
• Provide weekly metrics on regression risk reduction and suggest process improvements.

Must-have skills

• Strong Node.js experience (v12+), building RESTful services.
• Proficiency with JavaScript testing tools (Cypress, Mocha, Chai).
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD systems, preferably Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with MongoDB schema design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Docker containers for isolated test environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to performance testing tools like k6.
• Understanding of TypeScript in a Node.js codebase.
