About the role

Cascade Apps is preparing a coordinated mobile and backend launch for a new app store release. We need a Node.js Developer to align server‑side logic with mobile expectations, ensuring smooth data flow and rapid feature iteration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful endpoints that serve mobile clients efficiently
• Integrate authentication and real‑time sync mechanisms for upcoming features
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define API contracts and performance targets
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability under load
• Maintain code quality with linting, documentation, and code reviews

Must-have skills

• Proficient in NodeJS and Express framework
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async programming
• Experience building and documenting REST APIs
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI pipelines

Nice to have

• Exposure to mobile backend patterns (push notifications, offline sync)
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP) for scaling APIs
• Understanding of security best practices for mobile data
