About the role

Vertex Analytics is creating a robust data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a PHP Developer who can design, implement, and optimize backend services that ingest, transform, and expose operational data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop RESTful APIs in PHP using Laravel to feed analytics dashboards
• Design efficient MySQL schemas and write complex queries for data aggregation
• Build ETL processes that move data from source systems into a central warehouse
• Implement caching and queue mechanisms to ensure low‑latency data delivery
• Collaborate with data engineers and product owners to define data models and delivery schedules

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework
• Deep experience with MySQL performance tuning and schema design
• Understanding of data pipelines, ETL concepts, and API security
• Ability to write clean, testable code and documentation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka
• Knowledge of front‑end data visualization tools
