About the role

CloudWave Digital is preparing a major app store launch that ties mobile front‑ends tightly to backend services. We need a Python Backend Developer to shape the API layer, ensure data integrity, and align server logic with upcoming mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs using Django
• Integrate PostgreSQL schemas that support real‑time mobile sync
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define contract‑first endpoints
• Write unit and integration tests for critical payment and notification flows
• Optimize performance and monitor latency under load

Must-have skills

• Strong Python expertise with Django framework
• Proven experience building production‑grade REST APIs
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Understanding of mobile‑backend interaction patterns

Nice to have

• Familiarity with async Python (FastAPI, asyncio)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for backend services
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud hosting
