About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. As a Python Backend Developer you will design and implement new services while ensuring zero‑downtime migrations. The work focuses on refactoring monolithic code into clean, testable modules and exposing stable APIs for internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Rewrite critical data pipelines using Django and async patterns
• Build and document REST APIs that replace legacy endpoints
• Implement database migrations on PostgreSQL with zero‑downtime strategies
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate blue‑green deployments

Must-have skills

• Strong Python expertise, 3+ years in backend development
• Proficiency with Django ORM and REST framework
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Experience designing zero‑downtime migration plans

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of async libraries like FastAPI or aiohttp
• Background in CI/CD pipeline automation
