About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a high‑velocity CI/CD and platform automation sprint to cut release cycles in half. As a QA Automation Engineer you will own test automation for the new "PulseDeploy" pipeline, ensuring every commit is validated before it reaches production. Your work will directly accelerate delivery speed while maintaining rock‑solid quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Selenium‑based test suites for the PulseDeploy pipeline using JavaScript and Node.js.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins and GitLab CI, triggering on merge‑requests and nightly builds.
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize test environments with Docker and orchestrate them via Kubernetes.
• Implement API contract testing with Postman/Newman for micro‑services involved in the release flow.
• Track flakiness, optimize test runtime, and enforce a <90% pass rate before each release milestone.
• Produce clear test reports in Allure and feed metrics into the team's dashboard for continuous improvement.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and JavaScript test frameworks.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure Pipelines.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Solid understanding of API testing and tools like Postman/Newman.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and debug flaky tests.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• Experience with Allure or similar reporting platforms.
