About the role

Summit Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted Android applications. We need an Android Developer to embed robust security controls, threat modelling, and encryption into the existing codebase while maintaining performance.

Key responsibilities

• Audit current Android apps for security gaps and produce remediation plans
• Implement secure storage, network communication, and authentication mechanisms
• Integrate runtime protection libraries and perform penetration testing
• Collaborate with backend engineers to align API security standards
• Document security guidelines and conduct knowledge‑transfer sessions

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Android development with Kotlin and Java
• Deep understanding of Android security best practices (OWASP, encryption, SELinux)
• Experience securing cloud‑based services (e.g., Firebase, AWS)
• Proficiency with static analysis and vulnerability scanning tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile security checks
• Knowledge of reverse engineering and obfuscation techniques
• Previous work on compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2
