About the role
Northbay Systems is enhancing a multi‑tenant B2B platform and needs an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and hand off core cloud features. You will work closely with product owners and developers to ensure the new tenant isolation and scaling mechanisms are robust, secure, and cost‑effective.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and provision AWS resources for tenant segregation using VPCs, IAM, and Service Catalog.
- Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate deployments via ECS or EKS.
- Automate infrastructure as code with CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines that include automated testing, security scanning, and blue‑green releases.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot incidents in a Linux environment.
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with core AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda).
- Proficiency in Docker containerization and orchestration.
- Solid DevOps mindset with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Deep knowledge of Linux system administration.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi‑tenant SaaS architectures.
- Familiarity with serverless patterns and cost‑optimization.
- Knowledge of security best practices for IAM and network isolation.
