About the role

Harbor Softworks is enhancing its test automation suite to cut regression risk before product launches. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and maintain the data layer that powers automated test runs and result analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and tune PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances for high‑throughput test data ingestion.
• Develop automated backup, restore, and data archiving pipelines aligned with CI/CD workflows.
• Implement role‑based access controls and data masking for sensitive test datasets.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to integrate database health checks into test pipelines.
• Monitor performance metrics and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud or hybrid environments.
• Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and containerization.
• Understanding of data security best practices.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).
• Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools.
