About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Database Administrator to secure data stores, enforce compliance, and improve resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and harden PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL configurations against industry standards
• Implement encryption at rest and in transit for all cloud databases
• Design and apply role‑based access controls and audit logging
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate security checks into CI pipelines
• Provide remediation guidance and documentation for identified vulnerabilities

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in cloud environments
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks (CIS, NIST) and encryption techniques
• Experience with AWS RDS, Azure Database services, or GCP Cloud SQL
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform
