About the role

Ridgeline Software is preparing a mobile app store launch that must sync perfectly with its backend services. We need a Database Administrator who can ensure data integrity, performance, and seamless mobile‑backend alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and tune schemas for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL to support high‑frequency mobile queries.
• Implement replication and sharding strategies that minimize latency for app users.
• Develop automated backup, recovery, and monitoring pipelines tailored to release cycles.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to map data models to API contracts and ensure version‑controlled migrations.
• Conduct load testing and capacity planning ahead of the store rollout.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production.
• Proven experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Understanding of mobile data access patterns and API design.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud‑native database services (AWS RDS, Atlas).
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for database changes.
• Knowledge of security best practices for mobile data storage.
