Senior DevOps Engineer Needed for Observability Stack Setup

About the role

We are modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. The project demands zero‑downtime deployments, automated scaling, and robust monitoring. You will design and implement the new DevOps pipeline to replace brittle manual processes.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a CI/CD workflow that supports blue‑green and canary releases
• Migrate legacy services to containerized workloads on Kubernetes
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform or CloudFormation for AWS resources
• Set up observability stack (metrics, logs, alerts) to ensure instant issue detection
• Collaborate with developers to refactor deployment scripts and improve test coverage

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Proficiency in AWS services (ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM)
• Strong CI/CD pipeline design using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Background in legacy monolith to microservices migration
