About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need an iOS App Developer to embed robust security controls directly into the mobile client and ensure seamless integration with hardened backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing iOS codebase for security gaps and implement mitigations
• Integrate encrypted storage, secure keychain usage, and certificate pinning
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to align API authentication and token management
• Write unit and penetration test suites for critical security flows
• Document security patterns for future iOS projects

Must-have skills

• 5+ years iOS development with Swift
• Deep understanding of iOS security frameworks (Keychain, Data Protection, Network Security)
• Experience securing REST API communication (TLS, OAuth, JWT)
• Proficiency in automated testing and CI pipelines for mobile apps

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud security services (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault)
• Knowledge of mobile threat modeling tools
• Contributions to open‑source security libraries for iOS
