Senior Microservices Architect – Cloud-Native Backend Scalability

About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching an intensive sprint to overhaul its CI/CD pipeline and automate platform provisioning. We need a Microservices Architect who can design, implement, and optimize the service mesh while ensuring seamless integration with our deployment workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and document microservice boundaries for new release flow
• Design automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitOps principles
• Implement Kubernetes operators to manage service lifecycles
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to embed security and observability
• Guide the team on container best practices and versioning strategies

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Strong Java development background
• Hands‑on CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Knowledge of cloud‑native monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm)
