About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a MongoDB Specialist to design the data layer from scratch. You will work with a remote‑first team to ensure scalability, performance, and secure data handling.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement MongoDB schemas tailored to micro‑service patterns
• Set up sharding, indexing, and replication strategies for high availability
• Develop data migration scripts and seed data for initial launch
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and data validation
• Monitor performance metrics and tune queries in production

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise with MongoDB design, aggregation, and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of data modeling for SaaS applications
• Experience integrating MongoDB with NodeJS services
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, NodeJS, HTML, CSS

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for database deployment
• Knowledge of security best practices for data at rest and in transit
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for database migrations
