About the role

Orbit Labs is accelerating its release cadence with a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune database pipelines that integrate seamlessly into our automated deployment flow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain PostgreSQL clusters optimized for rapid schema migrations
• Automate backup, restore, and scaling tasks using CI/CD tools
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed database changes into deployment pipelines
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot latency, and apply tuning during sprint cycles
• Document procedures and ensure compliance with security standards

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong scripting experience (Bash, Python) for automation
• Proficiency with CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration

Nice to have

• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL environments
• Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code
