About the role

BrightMart Solutions is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Python Backend Developer to redesign core services, improve performance, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments while preserving existing business logic.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Python code into modular Django apps
• Design and implement high‑throughput REST APIs
• Introduce async processing where latency matters
• Set up blue‑green or canary releases for seamless updates
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate database migrations

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Python development, strong Django expertise
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and versioning
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Experience delivering zero‑downtime releases in production

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
• Knowledge of async frameworks like FastAPI or aiohttp
• Background in CI/CD pipeline tooling
