About the role

Harbor Softworks is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay live during the upgrade. We need a React Native Developer to lead the mobile side of this zero‑downtime modernization, ensuring seamless user experiences across Android and iOS.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor and extend existing React Native codebase to support new features
• Implement feature flags and hot‑swap mechanisms to avoid service interruptions
• Integrate native modules for Android and iOS while preserving backward compatibility
• Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to align release pipelines with zero‑downtime goals
• Write unit and integration tests, and maintain CI coverage

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of React Native development
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise
• Deep knowledge of Android and iOS build processes
• Experience with feature flagging, OTA updates, and zero‑downtime deployments
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced, remote teams

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL or REST APIs
• Background in legacy system migration
• Exposure to CI/CD tools like Fastlane or Bitrise
