About the role

Pinecrest Systems is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure as code that supports high‑throughput, low‑latency workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for multi‑region AWS deployments.
• Automate provisioning of networking, compute, and storage resources with a focus on fault tolerance.
• Integrate Terraform workflows into existing CI/CD pipelines and enforce best practices.
• Collaborate with SRE and development teams to diagnose performance bottlenecks and apply infrastructure fixes.
• Document architecture decisions, state management strategies, and rollback procedures.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience writing production‑grade Terraform code.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, ALB, VPC, IAM).
• Proven DevOps mindset with CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure performance issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform Cloud or Enterprise.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Prometheus.
• Background in cost‑optimization and resource tagging strategies.
