Cybersecurity Analyst – Automated Security Hardening

About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to assess, design, and implement controls that protect data and services across multi‑cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for SaaS workloads.
• Develop and apply hardening scripts for Linux instances and container images.
• Validate configurations against industry benchmarks (CIS, NIST).
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce concise findings and remediation guidance for stakeholders.

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of cloud security concepts (IAM, networking, encryption).
• Hands‑on experience with security tooling (e.g., OpenSCAP, Trivy).
• Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
• Solid Linux administration background.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation security modules.
• Knowledge of container orchestration security (Kubernetes).
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, GSEC).
