PHP Developer – Customer-Facing API Design

About the role

LumenWorks is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a PHP Developer who can design, implement, and fine‑tune pipelines that push code from commit to production with minimal friction.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Git‑based CI workflows using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
• Automate environment provisioning and deployment scripts for PHP/Laravel services
• Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, and security scans into pipelines
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA to troubleshoot release blockers
• Document pipeline architecture and best practices for the team

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP development experience, especially with Laravel
• Proficiency in MySQL schema design and optimization
• Hands‑on experience building CI/CD pipelines for PHP applications
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and version control workflows

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools like Terraform
• Understanding of automated testing frameworks (PHPUnit, Pest)
