About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a data‑intensive platform and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to ensure high performance, reliability, and security of its databases throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters
• Optimize queries, indexes, and schema for scalability
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Monitor performance metrics and resolve incidents promptly
• Collaborate with developers to integrate database changes

Must-have skills

• 3+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL proficiency and query tuning
• Experience with replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL
• Automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
• Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
