About the role

We are preparing a new app store launch and need a Python Backend Developer to align mobile and backend services. The freelance role focuses on building robust APIs, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring seamless integration with upcoming mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas for high‑read/write workloads
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability
• Document API endpoints and usage guidelines

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django and REST framework
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Experience building APIs for mobile applications

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of async programming (asyncio, Celery)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for backend services
