About the role

DataPro Services is launching a data‑intensive analytics platform and needs a Python Backend Developer to design and implement core services. You will work closely with product and data teams to deliver robust, scalable APIs that power the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework
• Implement data models and queries in PostgreSQL, ensuring performance and reliability
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and code reviews with a distributed team
• Document API specifications and deployment procedures

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django and building REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL
• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD basics

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with asynchronous task queues (Celery, RQ)
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP)
