About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is launching a data pipeline and analytics enablement platform for operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design, implement, and document high‑performance services that feed real‑time data into our analytics stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design RESTful endpoints for ingesting, transforming, and exposing operational data.
• Build scalable NodeJS services with PostgreSQL back‑ends.
• Implement authentication, rate‑limiting, and logging mechanisms.
• Collaborate with data engineers to align API contracts with pipeline requirements.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization.
• Understanding of data pipeline concepts and analytics workflows.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/GCP) for scaling APIs.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
