Senior Android Developer for Mobile Offline Sync

About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a fast‑track CI/CD sprint to automate Android build, test and release pipelines. We need a seasoned Android Developer to design and implement end‑to‑end automation that accelerates delivery cycles while maintaining quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure Gradle pipelines for automated builds, unit tests and UI tests
• Integrate Fastlane, GitHub Actions or similar tools to streamline signing and deployment
• Create reusable scripts for versioning, artifact storage and rollout monitoring
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to embed automated testing in the release flow
• Document pipeline architecture and provide knowledge transfer to the dev team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years Android development experience
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Java and Android SDK
• Proven track record building CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
• Familiarity with Fastlane, Gradle, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills

Nice to have

• Experience with Firebase App Distribution
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) for build environments
• Background in monitoring tools like New Relic or Datadog
