About the role

Vertex Analytics is modernizing a legacy production platform with a strict zero‑downtime requirement. The AWS Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and tune the cloud environment to support a seamless migration while ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and provision AWS services to replace legacy components
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for incremental releases
• Configure immutable infrastructure using Docker containers
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for zero‑downtime rollouts
• Collaborate with developers to refactor workloads for cloud‑native execution

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda)
• Strong Docker containerization and orchestration experience
• Hands‑on DevOps practices including IaC, CI/CD, and automation
• Linux system administration and troubleshooting

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless architectures
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of blue‑green and canary deployment strategies
