Senior Database Administrator – Query Optimization Engagement

About the role

Keystone Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Database Administrator to tighten database configurations, enforce encryption, and audit access controls across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and remediate security settings for PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL instances
• Implement role‑based access, least‑privilege policies, and audit logging
• Coordinate with cloud engineers to apply network‑level protections and backup encryption
• Conduct vulnerability scans and produce remediation reports
• Document hardening standards for future projects

Must-have skills

• Hands‑on experience securing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL
• Strong knowledge of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Database, GCP Cloud SQL)
• Familiarity with encryption, IAM, and compliance frameworks (PCI, HIPAA)
• Ability to write clear security documentation

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or cloud security specialties
• Experience with automated compliance tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
