About the role

LumenWorks is designing a data pipeline that feeds analytics to operations teams. We need a Database Administrator to architect, implement, and tune the underlying data stores while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL clusters
• Build ETL processes to move raw data into analytics‑ready warehouses
• Implement performance monitoring, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define schema and indexing standards
• Document data models, access controls, and operational runbooks

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Strong SQL tuning and query optimization expertise
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (Python, Bash)
• Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud‑native databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Knowledge of container orchestration for database services
