About the role
Summit Digital is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay live 24/7. We need a Docker Kubernetes Specialist to design a zero‑downtime migration path and implement continuous delivery pipelines on Kubernetes.
Key responsibilities
- Containerize legacy services with Docker and define multi‑stage builds.
- Architect a blue‑green or canary deployment strategy on an existing K8s cluster.
- Automate cluster scaling, health checks, and self‑healing mechanisms.
- Collaborate with developers to refactor config and secrets for cloud‑native operation.
- Monitor rollout metrics and roll back instantly if SLA thresholds are breached.
Must-have skills
- Deep experience with Docker image creation and registry management.
- Advanced Kubernetes administration, including Helm, operators, and networking.
- Strong DevOps mindset: CI/CD, IaC, and observability tooling.
Nice to have
- Experience with service meshes (e.g., Istio).
- Knowledge of legacy monolith migration patterns.
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
