About the role

Summit Digital is revamping a legacy production platform and needs a GraphQL API Developer to ensure zero‑downtime migration. You will design and implement a new GraphQL layer that coexists with existing services while keeping the system live.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a GraphQL schema that maps to current REST endpoints
• Write resolvers in NodeJS that batch and cache data efficiently
• Integrate React front‑ends with the new GraphQL API
• Implement feature flags and blue‑green deployments for seamless cut‑over
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot latency during migration

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade GraphQL services
• Strong NodeJS development background
• Familiarity with React consumption of GraphQL
• Understanding of REST API patterns and migration strategies

Nice to have

• Experience with Apollo Server or similar tooling
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for zero‑downtime releases
