About the role

LumenWorks is preparing a major app store launch and needs a Microservices Architect to align mobile front‑ends with backend services. You will shape the service mesh, define API contracts, and ensure seamless scaling for the upcoming release.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document microservice boundaries for mobile features
• Implement Docker‑based deployment pipelines and Kubernetes orchestration
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to create versioned APIs
• Set up monitoring, tracing, and fault‑tolerance patterns
• Guide the team on best practices for CI/CD and automated testing

Must-have skills

• Proven experience architecting microservices in Java
• Deep knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters
• Strong understanding of REST/GraphQL API design for mobile apps
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable service contracts

Nice to have

• Familiarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Experience with mobile backend as a service (MBaaS) platforms
• Knowledge of automated security scanning in CI pipelines
