Senior Microservices Architect – End-to-End System Integration

About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a major app store release that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a Microservices Architect to design, implement, and guide the microservice ecosystem that will power the new mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall microservice architecture supporting iOS and Android clients.
• Design API contracts, data flow, and versioning strategy for seamless mobile/backend integration.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and monitoring for high‑availability services.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to optimize latency, caching, and offline sync patterns.
• Document architectural decisions, standards, and best practices for the development team.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservice design and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Strong Java development background, including Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Proven ability to align backend services with mobile performance requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile backend patterns such as GraphQL or gRPC.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and serverless functions.
• Knowledge of API security standards (OAuth2, JWT).
