About the role

Northbay Systems is modernizing its test automation suite to cut regression risk before major releases. We need a Microservices Architect who can design a scalable, container‑based framework that integrates with existing CI pipelines and supports rapid test execution across services.

Key responsibilities

• Define a microservices architecture for test orchestration and result aggregation
• Implement Docker‑based services and Kubernetes deployment patterns
• Integrate automated test runners with CI/CD tools to trigger on code changes
• Establish monitoring, logging, and fault‑tolerance strategies for test services
• Collaborate with QA leads to translate test cases into reusable service contracts

Must-have skills

• Proven experience designing microservice ecosystems
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes expertise
• Solid Java development background
• Understanding of test automation frameworks and CI/CD integration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BDD/TDD approaches
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus or Grafana
