About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a new analytics suite and needs a Microservices Architect to lead a test automation uplift. The goal is to lower regression risk before each major release by embedding robust automated tests across all services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a micro‑service‑centric test framework using Java
• Integrate Docker‑based test environments into CI pipelines
• Orchestrate Kubernetes clusters for scalable test execution
• Collaborate with dev teams to identify critical regression paths
• Document test strategies and share best practices

Must-have skills

• Deep experience designing microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes in production
• Strong Java coding and unit/integration test expertise
• Track record of reducing regression failures through automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with contract testing tools (e.g., Pact)
• Experience with performance testing of distributed systems
• Knowledge of observability platforms for test monitoring
