About the role

Ridgeline Software is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a seasoned PHP Developer to audit, patch, and reinforce existing codebases, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of PHP services and identify vulnerabilities
• Implement input validation, output encoding, and secure authentication flows
• Refactor legacy code to adopt Laravel security features and best practices
• Integrate automated security testing into CI pipelines
• Document hardening procedures and provide knowledge transfer to the internal team

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development experience
• Deep knowledge of Laravel security components and middleware
• Strong MySQL expertise, including secure query handling
• Proven track record in securing cloud‑based applications

Nice to have

• Experience with OWASP guidelines and threat modeling
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes environments
• Background in automated security testing tools (e.g., Snyk, Brakeman)
