About the role
Harbor Softworks is building a next‑gen SaaS offering from the ground up. As a Platform Engineer you will shape the core infrastructure for this greenfield product, enabling a fully remote‑first development workflow.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement a Terraform‑based AWS landing zone for the new service, targeting VPC, IAM, and networking by week 2.
- Containerize the core microservices using Docker and set up Helm charts for Kubernetes deployment on EKS.
- Build a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline that runs unit, integration, and security scans, and deploys to a staging cluster on every merge.
- Establish observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and configure alerts for SLA monitoring.
- Collaborate with the product team to create the "Nimbus Core" module deployment blueprint and hand‑off documentation.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years in cloud infrastructure design, preferably AWS.
- Deep experience with Terraform and IaC best practices.
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Helm.
- Strong background in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or similar.
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
