About the role

Pinecrest Systems is launching a sprint to embed CI/CD and platform automation into its PostgreSQL environment. We need a seasoned PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune automated release pipelines that accelerate deployment cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and configure CI/CD pipelines for database schema changes
• Automate backup, restore, and migration processes using scripting tools
• Integrate PostgreSQL with container orchestration and IaC frameworks
• Monitor performance and implement tuning during automated releases
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless rollouts

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Experience with automation scripting (Bash, Python) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
• Strong SQL optimization and troubleshooting abilities

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Exposure to container platforms like Docker/Kubernetes
• Understanding of monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana)
