About the role
CoreData Systems is launching a brand‑new SaaS product and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, deploy, and fine‑tune the database layer from day one. You will work with a remote‑first team, shaping data architecture that scales with user growth.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement PostgreSQL clusters for high availability
- Develop migration scripts and automate schema changes
- Monitor performance, tune queries, and manage indexing strategies
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data pipelines
- Establish backup, recovery, and security policies
Must-have skills
- 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
- Strong SQL optimization and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD for DB deployments
Nice to have
- Knowledge of MongoDB and MySQL for cross‑database reporting
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
- Automation scripting with Python or Bash
