About the role

Pinecrest Systems is expanding its B2B SaaS product with a new multi-tenant capability. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune the database layer that will safely isolate tenant data while maintaining high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy a multi‑tenant schema strategy for PostgreSQL
• Configure and manage logical replication and partitioning for tenant isolation
• Optimize queries, indexes, and connection pooling for scaling workloads
• Implement automated backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers to integrate PostgreSQL with existing services

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep knowledge of multi‑tenant design patterns and security
• Experience with performance tuning, replication, and high‑availability setups
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for hybrid data solutions
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
