About the role

Pinnacle Works is scaling its data platform for high‑volume transaction processing. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and maintain robust database environments that support critical business services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL clusters
• Implement performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Develop backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies
• Monitor health, capacity, and security of database systems
• Collaborate with developers to design efficient schemas and data models

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production
• Strong SQL scripting and performance troubleshooting
• Experience with replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and automation tools

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL ecosystems
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Understanding of cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure PostgreSQL)
