About the role

CoreData Systems is modernizing its customer‑facing services. We need a PostgreSQL Administrator to lead a performance and reliability overhaul, ensuring databases scale smoothly under load.

Key responsibilities

• Audit current PostgreSQL clusters and identify bottlenecks.
• Design and implement indexing, partitioning, and query‑optimization strategies.
• Set up automated monitoring, alerting, and backup routines.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor slow queries and improve transaction handling.
• Document configuration standards and hand‑off procedures.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production.
• Deep knowledge of performance tuning, replication, and high‑availability setups.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (Prometheus, pg_stat_statements).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL migrations.
• Exposure to container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
