Senior PostgreSQL Administrator – Query Optimization

About the role

CloudWave Digital is expanding its B2B SaaS offering with a new multi‑tenant feature set. We need a seasoned PostgreSQL Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune the database layer that will power isolated tenant workloads while preserving performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Architect schema separation strategy for multi‑tenant data isolation
• Configure and manage logical replication and partitioning to support tenant scaling
• Automate backup, restore, and point‑in‑time recovery processes
• Monitor query performance and apply index, vacuum, and configuration optimizations
• Collaborate with developers to embed database best practices into CI/CD pipelines

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep knowledge of multi‑tenant design patterns and security controls
• Proficiency with pg_dump, pg_restore, logical replication, and connection pooling
• Experience scripting automation with Bash or Python

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database reporting
• Exposure to cloud managed PostgreSQL services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
• Understanding of containerized deployments using Docker
