About the role
Cascade Apps is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code that enables zero‑downtime deployments and incremental upgrades.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and codify AWS networking, compute, and storage resources using Terraform.
- Build reusable modules to support blue‑green and canary release patterns.
- Integrate Terraform pipelines with existing CI/CD workflows for automated plan‑apply cycles.
- Collaborate with developers and SREs to ensure state management and drift detection.
- Document infrastructure design decisions and runbooks for on‑call teams.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of hands‑on Terraform experience in production environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, IAM).
- Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD automation expertise.
- Proficiency in version control, code review, and automated testing of IaC.
Nice to have
- Experience with zero‑downtime deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like CloudWatch or Prometheus.
