About the role

Silverline Labs is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an Android Developer to redesign key modules, improve performance, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments while working part‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor legacy codebases to Kotlin, introducing clean architecture.
• Implement feature flags and blue‑green releases for uninterrupted updates.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate new APIs.
• Write automated UI and unit tests to safeguard stability.
• Monitor app health in production and quickly resolve regressions.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Kotlin and Android SDK.
• Proficiency in Java for legacy components.
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools.
• Background in legacy system migration.
