About the role

BlueSky Ventures is building a real‑time analytics enablement platform for its operations teams. As an Android Developer you will create the mobile front‑end for the new "Streamline Hub" module, which visualizes pipeline health, data latency, and key performance metrics directly on Android devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a native Android UI using Jetpack Compose to display live data dashboards from the Streamline Hub API.
• Integrate Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to handle streaming data from Kafka‑based pipelines.
• Develop secure REST API clients with Retrofit, handling OAuth2 token refresh for analytics services.
• Write unit and UI tests with JUnit and Espresso to ensure 90%+ coverage before each two‑week sprint.
• Collaborate with data engineers to define JSON schemas and optimize payload size for low‑bandwidth environments.
• Package and publish the app to an internal Google Play Enterprise store, managing versioning and release notes.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Android SDK, Kotlin, and Java.
• Proficiency in Jetpack libraries (Compose, Navigation, Room).
• Hands‑on knowledge of RESTful API integration and authentication.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming using Coroutines/Flow.
• Ability to write automated tests and use CI pipelines for Android builds.

Nice to have

• Experience with data visualization libraries such as MPAndroidChart.
• Background in big‑data pipelines or analytics platforms.
